FLOTATION DEVICES:

GENERAL INFORMATION

Floatation devices will be allowed at the discretion of the pool management. It will be up to the discretion of the lifeguard or pool monitor to determine the size and number of floats allowed in the pool at certain times dependent on occupancy loads. Children under the age of 12 will not be permitted without adult supervision. Children age 13-17 will be permitted without adult supervision ONLY once they have passed a swim test given by the lifeguards.

LIFEGUARDS:
The pools will only be open when lifeguards are on duty. Lifeguards and pool monitors are charged with enforcing the rules as set forth in this document to ensure the safety of everyone at the pool facility. LIFEGUARDS are responsible for the day-to-day management and enforcement of the pool rules. Residents and guests should direct any questions or issues regarding the pool rules to the Texas Star Community Management. Residents and guests should immediately comply with the Lifeguard’s instructions. Any attempt to circumvent the authority of the lifeguards may result in the loss of pool privileges for the remainder of the pool season. The Fort Worth Non-Emergency Police Number is (817) 392-4222.

GUEST POLICY:
Residents age 18 and over will be allowed to bring guests to the pool facilities. Residents must present a government-issued identification to establish their age if required and be in possession of a valid and operating pool access card. Each lot is allowed to sponsor up to 6 guests per visit and each guest must sign-in on the log with the pool monitor. A homeowner must accompany guests at all times and may not leave them unsupervised. The homeowner is responsible for informing guests of the rules and is responsible for the actions of their guests. If the guests are the source of any rule violations, they may be removed from the facility immediately. Once the pool has reached 80% of capacity, the lifeguards, at their discretion, may restrict entrance to homeowners only.

LIGHTNING/THUNDER POLICY:
In the event, lightning is seen or thunder is heard, the pools will be immediately evacuated and participants should immediately leave the pool area. Participants should not return to the pool until a minimum of 30 minutes have passed since the last time lightning is seen or thunder is heard. The Pool Manager on duty will decide when it is safe to return to the pool area.

FECAL CONTAMINATION:
All children ages 3 and under will be required to wear a disposable swim diaper in addition to the proper swim attire while in any of the pools. Homeowners will be responsible for any costs, up to $750.00, associated with fecal contamination. The pool must be closed for a minimum of 24 hours to be cleaned after a contamination incident.

MEMBER IDENTIFICATION:
Any residents wishing to use the pool facilities must be in possession of a valid and operating pool access card. This card will be used to open the gate to gain entry to the pool monitor area. Once inside, they are required to legibly fill out the pool roster and record the names of any guest(s) accompanying them. This helps monitor pool usage, establish needs for additional staffing and evaluate the need for changes to the operating schedule.

POOL RESERVATIONS:
No exclusive pool access will be granted. Clubhouse users and guests of clubhouse users are not granted pool access in conjunction with their use. The pool guest policy of 6 guests will be followed.
